Taste Media Group was founded in 2010 to provide video production, animation, and digital strategy for clients. We pride ourselves on being able to serve a diverse client base for their video production and digital strategy needs. As our company has grown, we have been able to utilize our experience in each and every project. Nowadays, consumers engage with mobile devices and utilize search for their purchasing decisions. The importance of video will only continue to increase. Thatcher Kamin

Executive Producer

I am appreciative and thankful for the opportunities, experiences, and relationships I have been able to form since starting TMG. I have been fortunate to have a great team, which has helped contribute to our refined processes, efficiencies, and continuity of our productions. I have enjoyed educating and working with our clients to help bring their ideas from concept to delivered video products as it truly is a rewarding endeavor.

I am also the Founder of Velocity Video, a community for creative families, focusing on teaching video production to students ages 8-18. Before starting TMG I started “Fix My Recipe,” an online cooking concept, worked as the Digital Producer for WCIU-TV (Chicago), and as an Associate Producer at Answers Media. I graduated from Mizzou with a degree in broadcast journalism, as working in live news provided the basis for my understanding of production, storytelling, and operating under deadlines.

I currently live in Lincoln Park with my wife, Marisabel, and our daughter, Aria.

Matthew Morgan

A little bit about myself: I began my career on the studio side working for Focus Features, first in Los Angeles, followed by New York City. While at Focus, I was part of the Post-Production team where I helped oversee the editorial workflow of several film projects. Shortly after, I worked at AMC Networks, working with the Media Management department where I managed original programming content delivery for SundanceTV, IFC and AMC. I began my career at Taste Media Group (TMG) in 2015 after moving back to my native Chicagoland.

At Taste Media Group, I wear a lot of hats. As a Senior Producer and Editor, you’ll likely work with me during all stages of the production process. I also serve as a Technical Director on livestream and hybrid event projects. In my spare time, I enjoy writing and recording music, woodworking, and spending time with my wife, daughter, and puppy.

Mike O’Brien

Senior Editor, Producer and Motion Designer

With over ten years of experience at TMG, I feel privileged to do what I love every day: tell our clients’ stories through video. I strive to collaborate closely with clients to produce high-quality results. No matter the project, I always demonstrate the same amount of enthusiasm, professionalism, and persistence.

I developed an interest in video at age eleven when my friends and I began to shoot our own comedy skits. It’s too bad YouTube wasn’t around in the early 2000s but teaching myself how to edit and sell VHS tapes after school has paid dividends. In my free time, I enjoy playing guitar, making pottery, and spending time with my wife and our daughter, Gemma.

Eric Miller

After spending much of my youth on the east coast I moved to Chicago in 2006 to attend DePaul University. And now years later I can comfortably call this city my home. As a director of photography, I obsess over all things light and shadow, and am always looking for ways to improve the visual craft. This blending of art and science has always drawn me in towards cinematography. Every shoot, from a commercial to a documentary, offers a chance to create something new and unique. Apart from the artistic endeavor I also find myself enjoying the comradery on set, having a great crew that’s on the same page always results in a better end product. When I’m not on a shoot or traveling to one I like to spend my free time with my girlfriend and our overly energetic herding dogs in Portage Park.

Jacqui Wedewer

Producer & Video Editor
Columbia College | TMG Since 2022

I am originally from Iowa and attended Columbia College Chicago where I graduated with a degree in post production for television. In 2008, I met Thatcher Kamin while interning for him on WCIU’s digital media team and was the official first TMG editor when he started the company. In the early TMG days I worked on projects for Craftsman, Madison Square Garden, and Groupon. After spending time with TMG I went to be the producer on “Check, Please!”, which aired on WTTW in Chicago. During my time on the show I was involved in all aspects of production. After “Check, Please!” I moved to New York City and produced over 400 videos for the Daily Meal, an online food show that was produced by the Tribune Company. Upon moving back to Chicago I reconnected with Thatcher and have been involved in all aspects of TMG productions.

Outside of work, I am a Chicago Cubs fan along with my husband, Jeremy and we have a pitbull named, Rima.

Adam Lord

Designer and Motion Graphic Specialist
Ball State University | TMG Since 2022

I am a Chicago transplant from Indiana with a B.S. in Theater Studies, which is an actual degree a person can get. I worked various jobs in various theater venues, including The Chicago Theater, Broadway in Chicago, and Victory Gardens Theatre. In my array of duties, I was commissioned occasionally to create lobby signs, drink menus, etc. because of my previous knowledge of Photoshop. But I loved making them so much that I quit theater altogether, learned from a great many books and online courses & tutorials, and landed a job making beer posters at a distributor. I continued to learn and eventually, I animated an infographic that caught Thatcher’s eye.

My personal mission at TMG is to create video & animation that deepens and energizes our clients’ bond with the viewer. In addition to this work, I am an action & horror movie buff, amateur whittler, video & board gamer, writer, and uncle of 2. I also assist with teaching young filmmakers at Velocity Video.

Dylan Ludwig

Producer, Motion Designer, Editor, Technical Director, 3D Artist Tribeca Flashpoint Academy | TMG Since 2017

I attended Tribeca Flashpoint College in Chicago and graduated with a degree in Visual Effects and Animation. While attending I worked on small feature films such as “Thrill Ride” doing 3D Animation and Compositing for films, music videos and video games.

Since joining TMG I have worked on all types projects and use my passion to create and expand my skill set everyday. I currently live in Huntley, Illinois with my wife, Samantha, and my son, Everett and our two beagles.
